its been raining cats, dogs, men these xmas season. its perfect cuz its makes sleeping a great activity. its not perfect, cuz i dont feel like going lab. my fren said im the slackest fyp student he's ever seen. dammnit. heh but i dont deny. got another 2 new cushions for my bed. one from the xmas "xchange" with yan, ch, des they all, and the other from my idiot bro. i dont know why he thinks i like doremon.
and finally, i got to meet up with ahmuli on thurs. it was a belated-bday-pre-xmas-all-in-one gathering for us. as we have a few months worth of gossips and updates to catch up with one another, there was countless stuff to talk about. kinda reminded me of our sec sch days when there's always things to talk about even when we see each other everyday. i dont deny that we are not as close as we once were, given that we went to different schs after sec 4. i guess it takes really alot of effort to maintain friendships. but im still glad we still meet up once in a while. i guess friends who you grow up with are always the closest to you.

met yan on fri for some xmas shopping for our gathering on mon. damnit no time for shopping for ourselves!! caught a midnight screening of "the holiday" at lido. a very sweet, heartwarming show. fits well into the xmas-y, holiday mood. while watching the show, got news that exam results had leaked out, and we can check it already. super unexpected. i was expecting to be at the bottom of the bell curve cuz everyone around me mugs like mad la. but thankfully, it turned out ok. anw! time to wrap up the presents! hopefully we'll take lots of pics tmr and hav great fun, before yan leaves for maldives.
my 2 cousins came over for mahjong last night. or rather, they were learning to play the game. their endurance level is good sia, can tahan til 6am. 4 of us, including their bro, were cozying up in my room. girl bonding night. and parents decided to spend xmas in malacca/genting. 2 families going up together, so we'll hav more girls night.

been properly resting since exams ended last week. and sadly, i still sleep at 6am everyday bcuz i just cant adjust back!! so wad do i do during these hours when everyone's sleeping? i rearrange the furnitures in my room.. not a "im bored thats y im doing this", but rather, a "its time for a change" move. im only halfway finished, there's more to be done.. but first, i have to write letters to write!! til later.
4th dec
had my first paper this morn. the night before, was super stressed discussing online with cher abt risk assmt. thankfully, nothing came up for that topic. out of 3 exams, 2 are at 9am - super unearthly hour! good thing that the exam venue was near uni hall, which means, i can pop by spinelli's for a quick caffeine fix before heading over for the paper. 2 papers tmr, and its holiday after that. though i still hav to go lab, but beats having exams la. the whole world has finished theirs already, except for a small group of us.
i feel so tired. =(

the crazy things i do these days..
my morn starts at 2-3pm. then study abit, break, study abit more, break, study to 6am, sleep. that is all i do. exams are memory work. no matter how u wanna do away with it and call it "application questions", you still have to memorize before u apply. im jus getting sore from the fact that at year 4, we still get questions like "short notes of toxic effects of ozone". wth? which part of it is application? that was a past yr question, but i expect similar ones like that stunner to come out again this year. prove me wrong!!!!
i just wanna rant.
happier events would happen only next year. such as taking a flight up to see him, spending 2 months there, and hopefully can tour the nearby countries there.. we were thinking of making pitstops at france, uk, denmark.. nothing's planned as yet, have to see if he can get away from his work too. even if we cant get to travel, i dont really mind either, cuz the trip up is really to jus visit him.
hmm, jus made toast bread. so hopefully this sugar high can last me to 6am. wake up wake up!

i hate study week. boring. im bored. but i only see lecture notes. i destress by cooking. yeah baby. im bored enough to enjoy doing that now. plus i think i drink too much liquid. borrrrred. and im watching too much shows. cable tv channel 55. watching shows - korean drama, tv shows - grey anatomy and heroes, movies. im so gonna regret...
all the more to JIAYOU!!!!!!!! for my booboo - i will be strong!

can't wait for xmas to be here. miss my childhood days when xmas means setting up of the xmas tree, putting up the decorations, buying presents, hanging socks on the tree (cuz no chimmy la), finding $$ inside socks the next day (muahha) and having a xmas party at home with relatives and parents' friends. those days were fun. then came teenage years when xmas means hanging out with friends, instead of parents. and in recent years, i've spent xmas with my boo, though we tried to make it to each other's family gatherings as well. since im more "free" this year, we might be having a xmas party (finally!). i jus love xmas..
study week has officially started. super bored. cuz its really time to be studying BUT you know la. i need someone to push me, nag me, bribe me, scold me, coax me, motivate me, and yell at me. my nanny has gone to sweden and im a slacker now *help*
16th nov
yest's pres went rather well i think. our appointed speakers were pretty smooth talkers. had a great time working along with 10 other peeps. its also nice when everybody did their allocated work and there wasnt any "surprises" at the end of it. there's also a number of scholars in my grp *stress* very hardworking, very smart.
most of the other presentations by other grps, except a few, were rather boring. the slides were wordy and the speaker would drone on for about 45mins. n people always fall aslp in between. so we (my grp) decided to make our pres an interesting, informative, entertaining one. less words, more diagrams & pictures, and more concise. it's easy to jus churn out the slides, but not so, if u wana keep it short, sweet and easy to understand. n im proud to say, we managed to do it. *yay*
i learnt quite alot working together for this mod. if everyone play their part, listen, are open to suggestions, and willing to make changes, more things can actually be done. wonderful! and here's a pic of our group on pres day.

finally changed the tagboard. the one i used to hav dont do tags well. sorry ah arjun, i didnt delete ur posts ok! =) this new one seems to have some prob too - sometimes i see the tagboard but sometimes i see a white box. i dont have much time to play ard with it yet. SO bear with it. gonna be having both a test and a presentation tmr. thank goodness im not presenting, else i'll be talking to myself again tonight. dad jus came back frm beijing (i think..) and brought back loads of stuff for us. im rambling rambling rambling. feeling so tired from the lack of sleep, and also from the stress --> pimple outbreak as well. the 1gb m2 card came in handy for my hp.. after transferring most of the korean, eng songs into it, i still hav spare for photos. its one good source of entertainment you know, taking video of my brother sleeping. cuz finally i hav proof that he snores. sem 1 is ending soon. its freaking fast, scarily fast. my room has reverted to its pig sty kinda condition. that sucks, when all i want is an empty spot for me to lie down n sleep. well, i jus hope the prof is happy/okay/fine/amazed?/impressed? by our group tmr. cuz his remark for the previous group was, "the presentation is a complete disaster." definitely not a grerat way to end the sem n module with....

the new hp finally arrived today.. after a long long long wait. YAY BABY! trying to get used to it first la huh... feels abit foreign in my hands. bAH. =)
had pharmaco meeting today (again). haha pretty good la, we trashed out the doubts n all those, and hopefully, it'll lead to us having a better structure/outline for our presentation. heh some of my grp mates are super crappy & super studious.. n this means.. super farnie. i shall try to finish up the slides tonight, so i can move on to do other stuff tmr. then when to play w hp huh... dammnit.

i got an essay to hand up on wed, and i decided to change my topic on sat. when i first started writing on a blank page with only the title staring at me.. i seriously doubted if i had enough time to finish it.. at this point now, i've just finished my first draft.. but i doubt its a work that would score an A. bah.. my eyes are so tired reading journals frm the screen. AHHHHH. it was nice of cher to send me her essay.. but we're doing on diff topic, so cant really ref much.. but still, its the thought that counts la huh. heh this is wad i call "peer support system"
due to daylight saving (am i right?), boo and i are now 7 hours apart, instead of 6. gets abit weird. cuz u see, when i sleep, its about his evening only. n when i wake to go school at 7, its his midnight. when im slping, he's awake. when i'm awake, he's either slping or working. so timing gets pretty screwed up. haha gotta slowly getting used to it.. thats y i really treasure us talking on the phone during wkends. =p
