2nd sept


i finally saw my boo on skype! haha quite hard catching him online ah.. he looked quite settled in already.. saw his new room and i think it looks good.. right now he's still shopping at ikea for the basic essentials like bloster, pillow, blanket and all that. have fun zhu!

i want to say a big thank you to my 2 goodass buddies - yan and ch, for being there for me at the airport after boo left. you guys did a good job keeping me distracted. yan> thanks for preparing tissue, and ch> thanks for your lame jokes.

31st aug


so this is it. boo's flight to sweden would be at 840pm tonight. he's gonna transit at bangkok for abt 3 hours before boarding the 10-hr plane ride to stockholm. guess all these hasnt really settled in me yet. the last few days leading up til tonight had been a mad rush of packing, last min purchasing and more packing. the ridiculous limit of 30kg for luggage check-in was making it tough for him to finish packing.

and it would be 1 year before i see him again. i dont know how things would be like. i know i'll miss him like mad. i dont want to start thinking about it, cuz i would get teary all over again. its quite hard to be/or feel positive now, when all i can think of right now is.. its our last night together already..

since spore would be 6 hours ahead of sweden, we'll gonna have a little trouble co-ordinating our meetings online. we'll try all sorts of communication methods - skype/msn for video talk, internet sms (for him to contact me if im not online), email and also phone calls (esp on wkends). sounds like its back to army days, when he can meet/call on wkends only.

i just hope i dont start crying tmr at the departure hall. not too nice, cuz his aunts, cousins and other friends are going to be there as well. i hope to fly up to sweden after my exams in may next year, spend 2 months holidaying with him, then come back home together just before my commencement. that ,however, is just the 'ideal' scenario.

so everybody, let's hope everything progress smoothly, and count down together with me.

it was our last dinner as a group together. hence we have to wait til next year when all five are finally reunited. and hopfully, by then, there would be six. since they are going to places where local chinese food are harder to find, we decided to go somewhere that serves lots n lots of chinese herbal stuff. the result was: very chinese, not very herbal. the makan was good, n once again, company was great.

i'm finally updating some parts of this blog layout. maybe i should have a new theme every now n then. but seeing that i know nuts about css and designing... think i'll jus stick with simpler modifications. =p

i've not switched on my comp for 3 days so far. cuz these days, i often reach home heading straight for the bed. =( school is packed with the new batch of freshies. give them 1 wk, n hopefully they start ponning lessons, so there will be less pple to jostle with in the walkway. been in lab most of this week. 3 out of 4 days in fact. on free days, we had to go shopping for boo's digi cam, hp, sport shoes and new specs. have to get all these essential items ready before he leave.. so quite abit of time is spent shopping and choosing. xy and chai left on thurs morn, and we sent them off at the airport - hope u guys have safely reached ur destinations - we had to go back to school after sending them off. looong day.

we gave up our national day tickets for these..



and yes, no regrets. =)

ecp changed alot. couldnt even remember when was the last time i went there. anyway, national day was spent at boo's aunt's place, which was just across ecp. we managed to catch the fighter jets, apache heli and fireworks from where we were also.

enjoy the pretty lights and minus the crowd. loved the orange sunset sky as well. marks an end to the beautiful day.




had quite a few 'group of 5' meetings these days as out of the 5, 3 are going for overseas exchange. xy and chai to canada, while boo's going to sweden.. been taking more pics these days, so hopefully, they can add on to 'my memories'. the steamboat over at hy's house was yummy. haha. can beat those steamboat eateries hands down. i was full mainly from the soup intake ah. 3 met for lunch, 4 went to bowl, and 5 had dinner at little india. recommended by arjun previously. loved the dehli butter chicken.

as boo would hav to learn how to prepare his own meals soon, we did a little trial-run at his place.

the learning objectives.

1) cooking rice without the rice cooker.
2) rice must be edible. haha
3) prepare ingredients.
4) mix them all up, and it becomes 'fried rice'

i must say, his 1st attempt was rather good. =) think i would have fared alot worse. cuz up til now, i only know how to cook spaghetti. =D he was the main chef that day, while i was the photographer/video-grapher. muahah. hilarious.

and finally, an overnight mahjong session with them at boo's place. now we've learnt - in order to last the night, we must not mix vodka & mahjong together. after which, boo-bird drove the rest of us hungry birds to west coast mac for breakfast. by then, i was already stoning.

7th aug - indefinitely. away.

other than iT, everything else jus seems so superficial.

tonning, little india, LAB, overnight mahjong, loving, 6am westcoast mac breakfast, pic frames, sleeping, alive..

sometimes i jus wish for time to stop.

21st july -

my room wall had been bare for a few weeks already, cuz i stripped off all the photos on it. wanted to finish "constructing a new look" by the time sch starts, but progress has been slow la. so far, only the photo collage of boo and i was finished. and that was only with his help.

heh. i finally moved my "notice board" up to a higher position, so it won't be hidden by my clutter. next up would be to arrange new photos on the wall.

when will it finally be done?

13th july - pirates

pirates of the caribbean 2 was good. enjoyed the ost as well - lots of pipe organ parts. and there's gonna be a pirates 3 also. it was a good break la, after going to lab for 2 continuous days. learnt how to use the many centrifuge machines and waiting for my samples to stop spinning.. made solutions from scratch - cuz we were so used to having them ready made! going inside the cold room ~4 degrees to drip solutions down a column... and there is still so much more to learn and do cos our 3 year course barely taught as the basics only. it would have been useful if i had taken urops in year 3, then i could take that as the learning year.. BUT! its okay.. i WILL survive through this. =)

9th july - arjun's bday

a group of us went over to jun's place to celebrate his bday and watch WC Finals together.. more people more fun u see, and jun's TV could certainly accomodate the whole lot of us. so basically the guys were watching la, while the ladies (yee, kailing and i) + ruihang were playing mahjong.

stayed til 5+ in e morn before all left his place. my first drive out in the pouring rain. moved off to yewtee to drop off my frens before heading back to wdls. sorry for the jerky ride back guys. hurhur. all i can say is, i normally drive safer when alone. =p



8th july -

after briefing near Cityhall, boo and i went to coffee club for lunch. i had "baked chicken macaroni", he had "pastrami & cheddar sandwich", and we both shared the "fresh fruit fondue". it was a yummy lunch, esp the fondue.
